Knolkhol is a European vegetable, very popular in Kashmir in India. It is a greenish white-colored big and round vegetable, somewhat similar to cabbage and its flavor is slightly sweet and peppery. The edible portion of knolkhol is named knob which is the swollen stem. The stem's fleshy, turnip-like enlargement grows completely above the ground. This knob is harvested raw and cooked with potato for human consumption. It contains protein, fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium, and magnesium.
